Week 2 January 4/11

Second week , the fishing got better, the river is in great level of water , floating lines start working,was a great group ,really fun week. 85 fish were landed, 16 fish over 15 pounds, Average weight 10.1 pounds.
Sinking lines with nymph were best, emb nymph and green machine were the best flies of the week.
Top rod of the week was william Wallace with 17 fish on the net, the biggest 19 pounds, and also landed the biggest fish.
Floating lines did work good this last week, 16 pounds the biggest fish on top.
Water Conditions
Water color and visibility: Very clear water all week.
Water temperature: 6 c to 9c
Water level: great level, good current almost in all the pools, upper part is getting low.
Weather Conditions
Wind speed ranges through the week:the wind blows northwest as usual, it was strong all week.
Air temperature ranges through the week: 3c to 15c, low temperatures during the week, got really cold at sunset.
Wheather observations (sun, rain, fog, etc.): one day the wind blow from south all day.
Fishing Conditions
Flies that are working the best: Nymphs: emb, Aurelia prince, prince nymph, ruber legs nymphs. Different sizes of sunray shadows. Big flies for the last hour: big tube flies intruders we’re very good.
Emb nymph and green machine were the best flies, we use it with sinking.
Sun ray shadow was the best fly with floating lines,on a fast strip.
Fly lines (tips, heads, lengths, densities, etc) that are producing the best: Skagit heads with different lengths of T-17,14, 11.
Length and strength of tippet and leaders: 7 to 14 feet. 12 to 19 pounds.
Worked good dead drifting nymph with sinking lines and very long leaders, getting to 12 f
Most of the fish were in the lower and middle part of the river, upper part is not so good, upper part is really low.
All fish were fresh.
