Getting There
Guests of Cinco de Rios usually arrange flights that fly into Santiago, Chile in the morning. After an afternoon exploring the town they spend the night in one of the local hotels and fly to Balmeceda the following morning or if the timing of your arrival to Santiago is right and your flight gets in early, you can get a late morning flight to Balmeceda on the same day. Once you arrive in Balmeceda you will be met by a lodge representative where you will be transported to the lodge.

Cinco Ríos Lodge
Built with the finest wood from our forests, our Lodge has the design needed to provide our guests the maximum comfort. Our location on the banks of the Simpson River gives a unique view of the valley and the towering snow-capped mountains of the Andes, in the Chilean Patagonia.
Cinco Rios Lodge can accommodate 12 guests at a time, with each room providing two king beds in separate quarters, a sitting area with comfortable chairs, a private bathroom, and a beautiful balcony overlooking the Simpson Valley. A large fireplace adds ambience to our main living room, fully furnished with comfortable armchairs and sofas. Gazing through the large windows of the dining room, you are directed to the green meadows of the valley where you can see a fleeting rainbow on the rainy days or a warm sunset at the end of the day. It is definitely the perfect backdrop for each of our delicious meals. Our bar has the charm needed to liven up a good conversation with various cocktails available. We have laundry service, Wi-Fi connection, a fly shop, and a room for fly tying. Rainbow Trout
Belonging to cold and crystalline water, Rainbow Trout were introduced into the Patagonia in the 19th century. Great fighters as they bite the bait, Rainbow Trout are highly prized by sport fishing experts. His colorful scales give shape to a true rainbow when you collect the line after his capture …Unforgettable!!
Brown Trout
Abundant in our waters and for many, the favorite of sport fishing. Its astute, elusive, unpredictable and aggressive addition to its habitat in remote areas makes the Brown Trout’s capture a unique event. You can catch most at about 14 to 23 inches, but some have caught up to 33 inches …. Trophies!
Cinco Rios Chile also offers professional and specialized equipment for sports fishing.
We also have a Fly Shop at the Lodge with professional, high quality equipment. Don’t forget to visit the shop before venturing off to a fishing day in the beautiful Chilean Patagonia.
Chinook Salmon
It may take 3 to 5 years in the ocean before they reach our rivers to breed and reproduce in the same freshwater that they were born in. We found species at about 130 cms (51 inches). Incredible!
Coho Salmon
Coming from the Pacific Ocean, large quantities are found in our rivers. Preparing for reproduction, the males have jaws, teeth and a hooked nose that surprises fishermen. Due to geographical and meteorological conditions of our region, the Salmonid species finds a perfect environment for reproduction and survival, which is why the Patagonia is a well known destination for amateur sport fishing. Cinco Rios Lodge is located in Coyhaique, the capital city of sport fishing in the Aysén region, and for many, a fishing world paradise. Every year fishermen from different latitudes discover in the numerous waters of our rivers and lakes, the unique experience of a fly fishing trip in the Patagonia.
Cinco Rios has the facilities, equipment, and high-level professional guides to ensure the satisfaction of all our fishermen friends.
